10 Wisconsin Children Rescued from Child Trafficking
This morning the FBI announced a national trafficking investigation that resulted in the rescue of over 100 children nationwide with 10 of those children being from Wisconsin. Within this operation Wisconsin had the second highest number of rescued children in the nation.
Today we applaud the efforts of both the FBI and local law enforcement to work together to rescue these children and arrest nearly 100 suspects in Wisconsin alone. Great work!
But we also need to understand this chilling reality:
Children are being trafficked and held in sexual slavery in our back yard!
Our mission as Exploit No More is to create an aftercare facility, a “safe house” that will provide a place of healing and refuge for these trafficked children. We see vividly that there are little girls being rescued from this slavery in our back yard and they need a place to go to receive exclusive and sensitive care – a place of love and hope that will walk beside them to help them rise out of the tragedy of sexual slavery.
The rescue of these 10 children today is why we exist as an organization.
Will you partner with Exploit No More to help us make this house a reality?
What can you do to help?
1. Forward this email to friends and family. Our first step to stand against this evil of child trafficking is to raise awareness. Letting people know about this rescue helps to do just that.
2. Partner with ENM in order to establish a safe-house for these trafficked children. Log on to www.exploitnomore.org and click on the “Donate” button to give a one-time gift or sign up for recurring monthly donations. Your gifts will help establish this much-needed safe house.
3. Be personally vigilant. If you suspect a child is being trafficked contact that National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888.
Thank you all for your efforts to take a stand against Child Trafficking. We all have something to give. We all have some way we can help these innocent victims. Together we can give them a voice and a local place of shelter.
Children are not for sale!
